If you receive an error when attempting a connection to your database take the following steps:

1. Under View in SSMS click Object Explorer Details.
2. Highlight the Databases folder and on the Object Explorer Details page right click the headers and uncheck Collation.
3. Refresh the Databases folder. You will then be able to access your database.
